My boyfriend is hosting a live draft in a couple of weeks and the pot should end up being around $1000 so everyone's really excited. I made invitations (and they were awesome) but I don't know enough about fantasy football to know what I could make that would be cool. Posterboards with stuff....a fishbowl of names...do I need a markerboard.... I have no idea. Any creative ideas? Something awesome...

You'll definitely want a draft board - depending on what sites you use, some provide you with one (CBS, FootballGuys) - but they're easy enought to make on your own.
That way no one has any excuses and everyone can see everyone else's roster.
You also want to have beer. Tell your bf to stay sober and get everyone else s-faced. This will help him immeasurably toward the goal of winning the pot.

As for draft "stuff". 1. There are websites all over the internet that specialize in kits for one price. They include things like draftboards,logo material and draft sheets. 2. Keep a computer near by as a referance for people to use during the draft. And food...I always liked the 6ft sub for about $30 to $40.

This is pretty much my order. 1. Best available player (QB RB WR) 2. RB is I didn't get one yet otherwise best QB or WR 3. Get the position I didn't get yet out of the three 4. RB 5. WR 6. TE 7. Defense 8. Backup QB 9. RB 10.WR 11. Kicker 12. Whatever I need and so on....

posterboard,tv,drink,food,computer, you don't need a fishbowl theyll figure it out one way or another also you will need a cooler cause they probly wont want to walk all the way to the kitchen maybe you should get a plate or a safe something to show-off the money it gets the intensity rising

if they're anything like my league, they won't be able to see with all the smoke from cigarettes, so don't worry, they probably won't care. Although a marker board showing who they picked might be ok.
