Depends on what you are into!

You can go across the Bay to Tampa and visit Downtown Tampa (Ybor City, Channelside, Florida Aquarium, Harbour Island, Hyde Park), as well as Busch Gardens/Adventure Island, International Plaza, Brandon Mall area, Wildlife on Easy Street (lions and tigers and bears, oh my!) and Lowry Park Zoo.

You can go down to St. Petersburg and visit Downtown St. Pete (The Pier, Baywalk, all of the museums), as well as Sunken Gardens.

Like the beaches?

Clearwater Beach is ranked as the Best City Beach in the U.S. If you're 21-30 years old, the Wave NightClub and the Tiki Bar, both at Sheperd's Resort on Clearwater Beach are a blast. Shepherd's Resort has a seafood buffet restaurant that is the best in the area! You can also go for a pirate ship ride, rent jetskis, go on a dolphin cruise, or go parasailing from the Clearwater Beach Marina!

St. Pete Beach (especially south of the Don Cesar Hotel at Pass-A-Grille) is great! So is Treasure Island and Sand Key! Speaking of Treasure Island, the best beach shopping in Florida is at John's Pass on the Madiera Beach side at Hubbard's Marina! Like shells? Best place to pick up shells is at Sand Key Beach!

Also, did you know the NUMBER ONE Beach in the U.S. in 2005 (Hawaii included) was North Beach at Fort DeSoto County Park? This year's #4 beach is Caladasi Island. The only way to get to it is by boat (you can take the ferry from Honeymoon Island State Park).

Like traveling to other countries? You can get a real great taste of Greece by visiting the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs just north of Clearwater. Also just north of Clearwater is the Scottish town, Dunedin. Ybor City in Tampa also is a great place, as it's known as the Latin Quarter.

Like nighclubs? I mentioned Sheperd's Resort on Clearwater Beach, but Ybor City is also great for that, as is Channelside in Tampa. Same with Baywalk in St. Pete.
