I was sitting at home on the computer actually doing my daily routine. My husband had just gotten home from working the night shift. He was taking a few moments to talk to me before he went to bed. Good Morning America was on and we both stopped talking when we heard there was a "problem" at the WTC. We both sat and watched the 2nd plane hit. I had to ask my husband' "was that a plane", because I couldn't believe what my eyes had just seen. It was a horrible day. What I also remember vividly after the attack, was being outside and not hearing any planes overhead. Our house is on the approach path for a nearby airport and NASA fighter jets flying overhead are very common too. It was eerily quiet and you couldn't help but searching the skies for any movement.

I was in college, too. At the time I was sleeping. My roommate woke me up and at first I thought, "So f*ing what?" Then I turned on the TV and it hit me. I watched the whole thing. I still can't comprehend what I saw that day. Everyone was just walking around like zombies those first few days. It was so crazy. I honestly couldn't believe I was watching a plane hit a building or seeing people jumping out of a building, all right there on my TV.

Well...I was 8 months pregnant with my son...I was a substitute teacher teaching a class. The teacher that was in the adjoining room came and told me and when my class left I turned on the television. What a shock..then I saw the second plane hit...the first thing I did was call my sister in law who had my daughter. I didn't know anyone there, but I cried. I too will never forget..I remember like it was yesterday.

I was at home, just before going to school. Before the towers actually fell, I made a little joke that...probably would have been better left unsaid. I said that it was probably the Canadians. The Canadians were attacking us, because that's the last country in the world we'd expect.
My dad looked at me in horror that I could joke about something like that...but I didn't see what the problem was (blissfully ignorant of the people inside), until the people started jumping. :(
When I got to school, our World History teacher assigned us a paper about what happened, promising us that we'd remember it for the rest of our lives. I still have the paper. It's crap, but I'll probably save it anyway.

I was watching it from my office window. I still can't even think about the events of that day or the details of what the poeple on the planes went through. I can't stomach the images of people calling home to say goodbye, or even the people who never got to call home. The way those people were killed, and especially the way the crews were killed with plastic knives and carpet knives is horrific. I can't iamgine that movie will do well here in New York. I know that I will never see it.

I was in a group home at the time. All of the girls there had their own theories. Some thought that the world was on it's way to ending, some started to pray, and our counselors had a big meeting telling us that there is going to be a war. We all started freaking out wondering what would happen to us all and if we would ever see our parents again. I thought i was the only sain one in the room at the time.

I was in my living room, I rarely watch the news, as it is sad. Well I saw the trade center on fire and heard what happened, I called my husband at work, told him then we hung up and the other hit. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and I called my husband back...

I was working for a group home and it was my second last day. I was assigned to go to the hospital the next day to pick up one lad after he was treated. I had to wait eight hours in front of the TV until the meds wore off. I saw the whole scene for eight hours and was so upset I refused to go find a new job for weeks.

Sleeping. I was working graveyard shifts at the time. When I woke up and turned on the tv, I thought planes crashing into the towers was a horrible b-movie trailer until I saw the "trailer" on CNN. God, I wish it was a horrible b-movie trailer...
