What did you desired to be when you were a little kid. Did your childhood dream come true?

I wanted to be a Vetrinarian or an Artist. I spent alot of time working towards becoming a large animal vet when I was a kid. I assisted the vet whenever my horses had anything done. I spent countless hours drawing and painting, I have actually sold a painting and many people have told me that I am very good.

But...I think my ultimate childhood dream was simply to have a home and be happy. I realized the other day that I have achieved that. I have my own home, a decent job, a great husband and a wonderful relationship with my family. What more is there in life?

There will always be things that I want, but to waste time worrying about what you don't have is wasting the things that you DO have.

How about you? Have you fulfilled your childhood dream?

I always wanted to be a model, and I did it, I was quite successful, but then life changed and it turned out that my childhood dream didn't fit what I wanted for the rest of my life, so i changed careers and am very happy with things as they are now. So although my dream came true, it ended up it wasn't the best thing for me.

When I was a child, there were woman dancers with boots and short skirts that danced in cages, they were called Go-Go Dancers. That's what I wanted to be. If I couldn't be a dancer, I wanted to be an airline stewardess. That didn't go will either. I am scared to death to fly. So, my answer is no. I did not fulfill my childhood dreams, but that's okay, I'm perfectly happy just the way I am.....:)

When I was younger, I always dreamed of being a teacher. Even when my neighbor (who was a boy) came over, he wanted to play barbies -don't ask- and I wanted to play teacher. That was my childhood dream and still is. I plan on going to college in a couple years and getting my degree in Education...maybe majoring in English or History. I want to teach fourth grade. So I'm working on it.

Childhood dreams should stay just like that... as dreams. You have dreams but NEVER goals and those are two different things. I say, you pursue your goals and leave your childhood dreams in fantasy land.

Btw, I've fulfilled all my goals or I'm on my way to doing so.

my childhood dream was to become a fireman when I grew up. I have grown up and am decidedly not a fireman, so thankfully my childhood dream did not come true. I dont think I would have made a very good fireman either

When I was a little girl, I wanted more than anything to be a ballet dancer. I didn't get to do to that. I wanted to learn to play the flute and didn't get to do that. Then I decided I wanted to be a writer, and I got to do that, and get paid for it at work. I guess you can't do everything you want, but someday I am going to take flute lessons anyway, as soon as I can find a good teacher.

Nahh, I got an education and couldn't find a job in my field. So now I work at a 5 star hotel...life could be worse, but life could be better too. So I guess I haven't made it yet.
