There are alot of ways !

1. Gamete intrafallopian transfer- eggs are removed from the woman's ovary and inserted along with sperm immediately into the fallopian tube, where fertilization occurs.

2. Intrauterine insemination- sperm is put directly into the woman's uterus.

3. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection- a single sperm is injected into an egg. The embryo is then transfered to the uterus ( that's a kind of IVF - see next ).

4. In vitro fertilization ( IVF ) - eggs are removed from the woman's ovary and incubated with sperm in a test tube. The formed embryos are then transfered to the woman's uterus.

5. All of the above procedures could happen with either your eggs and ur partner's sperm or donor eggs and /or sperm.

6. And, of course, there's surrogacy- if, for some reason, a woman is not able to carry a pregnancy to term, a surrogate mother could do it - that woman could be either inseminated with ur eggs and ur partner's sperm or just with ur partner's sperm.

The average cost for an in vitro fertilization is about 7.000 $ and surrogacy usually takes about 10- 20.000 $.

About alternative medicine, i've heard that chinese accupuncture sometimes helps getting pregnant ( it only makes sense that almost all stress-relieveing procedures would help ).
I'm sure you know that, but ( artificial or not ) if you want to get pregnant, you should avoid cigarettes, alchohol, douching, intense exercise, soy products ( soy milk, tofu, etc ) and heat. I didnt know about the heat but i just talked to a fertility specialist and that was the first thing she mentioned.
I wish you all the best and good luck !!!

Well there is sarrogate parenting which usually takes the sperm and egg of the couple trying to concieve, and puts it into another person. There of course is also in vitro. I'm not sure of others.
