I want to let you know I feel for you. But some periods last longer than others. Have you just started having periods? If so, it might take awhile for your cycle to get into a regular pattern. But your doctor is right, use a calender to track the days you get your period, and in several months, your period will regulate and you'll know how long you'll have it and when you'll get it.
