When I learned of it I didn't understand either.
British drew the lines of this new country.
A culture doesn't have land, so someone goes:
"Ok you guys go move over here."
But there was a culture living there already.
"Ok you guys have to get out and give this to the other culture."
Always sounded strange to me.
But we are a small grain of sand in a big world.
Fairness is a joke of cynics and every adult.
Is/was there underlining "secret" ideas/concepts of why things were done they way they were done?
All we can do is guess.
Anger doesn't seem to help or seem very productive hum?
Hate doesnt' help, it gets people killed.
Progressing forward to better days and trying to make life make sense is all we can do.
If I don't have every side of this equation, I can accept that and will learn as I go.
Peace.

Yes it has, unlike the neighbouring nations, those who could not control a terrorist group and fighting with Israel, but the hosting nation could not check their atrocity. In that case we consider that as pseudo sovereighnity. Peace talks could not possible because the fighting group is different from the government. In Israel case public, the people are soverighn over the rule of law otherwords legislation and following the international commitments and facing the atrocity. The real sovereighnity is existing in Israel where democracy, dignity and humanity is persisting.

Let's say I buy a piece of property. Proper title and conveyances and all. Then I sell it or give it to you. Do you own the property? Yes,

The UN bought the land that was used to create Israel, which had been under British control. Then, after it was bought and paid for, the US gave part of it to the Jews and part of it to the Palestinians.

The part that was given to the Jews is called Israel. The part that was given to the Palestinians was merged with another part and is now called Jordan.

So, yes, both Jordan and Israel are sovereign nations, created out of land that they legally own and that was legally purchased for them.

Dude, the Israelis defeated Egypt, Jordan, and Syria in '67. they earned the land. Just like we took this country from Britain. What country in the world today wasn't created by some power, or won via a war for territory?? Are you a moron? Do you think the United States just appeared out of thin air inhabited by Americans??

What are you talking about. Read the Bible. The land has belonged to them for a long time. They were given their land back after WWII just as the Bible prophesied. Any country that tries to take their land now or comes against them in any way right now is in for some real judgement from God.

A fair question since the creation of Israel was decided and promoted by third parties entirely outside of the region, and its existence has been perpetuated through violence, aggression and literally forcing original inhabitants from their lands; this in addition to genocidal massacres of entire villages and communities.
To those who think that this is a rant and a tirade, please refer to documented, subjective histories of the region.
Of course, this matter would never be allowed to be brought up at the International Court at the Hague.

More than confused, you can't string a coherent sentence together. Also you need to read a little history-- Jews have been in the area now called Israel for thousands of years.

Actually I believe they bought it back from the Turks for the most part until they owned most of what is now Israel and it became a nation in 1948.
