I am one of the biggest cheapskates I know. I take my lunch to work so I won't have to buy fast food which saves me about $1,00 a year. Instead of buying a $3 specialty lattes, I make my own at home to save about $400 per year. The cheapest thing I've ever done is to cut each of the ruined legs out of two pairs of pantyhose to get a complete pair so they would last just a little longer. I'm also cheap on cleaning supplies, I use baking soda or white vinegar to clean almost anything instead of buying more expensive products.

Dumpster diving!!! I worked at a store, and their policy was to trash anything and everything that was broke, no longer for sale, clearance and didn't sell, etc. I knew what was going in there, and it wasn't really trash, so mom and I began a habit of dumpster diving. Crazy.
