First of all they aren't both water signs..pisces is a water sign and aquarius is an air sign...

Aquarius is very very outgoing...and so are some pisces-depending on their birthday...it may work but sometimes Pisces craves a little too much attention for Aquarius to give.

wrong pisces is a water sign and aquarius an air sign! ( although it is a water bearer) this creates bubbles...it can be fun and creative for a time and there may be attraction, the rest is up to you to figure out( unless you put me on the job)

Your Sun signs are semi-sextile (a 30° aspect) by sign, but that needs to be determined by degree as well usign your date, place and times of birth.

You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.

What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendent make?

The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.
The 7th house rules partnerships.
The 8th house rules sexuality.

What planets are in the above houses and what aspects do they make? What signs are those planets in? What sign is on the cusp of those houses? What elements (fire, earth, air & water) and qualities (cardinal, fixed & mutuable) are involved?

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.

Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.

The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. It's not simple to a layperson, but it is to people who are educated in Astrology terminology.
