we are getting along great but i guess cause we were busy rasing the kids we forgot about doing things we like and not what the kids like even though they are men now you know we never thought it would be hard but it is cause your used to doing it with the kids and now they are gone and we feel like kids again and you know you kinda feel a little bit i guess shy is the word to go to new places and do new things. you know are we too old for some we have not dated as we call it in years but we look forward to dating each other again it really cool being at this stage in life all of the uncomfortable is gone with each other and now its just the world that seems strange and unmoving to the two older people trying to have fun and just be lovers holding hands and laughing together

Nothing wrong at all. You did your job kids are gone and away now its time for you to pick up where you left off. Life is too short we never know what tomorrow brings us. Why not go do stuff its a free world. Alot of people go to the movies ALL ages and when I see a young couple kissing and lovey dovey sometimes i think OMG they are kids just a phase or get a room when you see two older people at a movie laughing and holding hands i admire that its cute its something i would love to do when my time comes i think its sweet and i think i hope my hubby and i are happy like that and continue to do that. So go out go to the beach mountains movies shopping fishing whatever you all like and HAVE FUN the hell with everyone else i think you are just worried over nothing everyone will grow older everyday so its nothing unusual have fun and good luck

The minute my kids move out I'm deeming the house as "nakey" time all the time! Only 13 more years! Actually, I understand where you are coming from. When the last of the kids moved out of my parents house, my parents started traveling together all over the place. They took up bowling, bike riding, boating, went on nature hikes, visited every museum and zoo within 100 miles of them. To track them down was quite the chore. To see them together was amazing. It was like they were teenagers all over again with little responsibility. Congratulations on making it together to that point in life. I hope that I am as lucky as you some day.

You will find that most couples feel like this when all the childern have left the nest.Start by doing what to both enjoyed doing before having kids, Whether it's going to the movies, or to an old resturant that you used to go to, at least you will both be comfortable, reminise about what brought you two together, and take it from there.
