WELL ITS SOUNDS LIKE THAT IF YOU HAVE SPOTS THAT WANT WASH OFF U NEED TO BUFF THE PAINT. I SUGGEST THAT I YOU HAVE NEVER BUFFED A CAR BEFORE THAT U PAY THE WELL SPENT MONEY TO HAVE IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY. BUT IF U DO TRY IT OWN YOUR OWN GO TO YOUR LOCAL AUTO PAINT RETAIL STORE & ASK FOR 3M BUFFING COMPOUND AND POLISH THEN MAKE SURE U GET A WOOL BONNETT FOR YOUR BUFFER ALSO A PACKAGE OF SPONGEY POLISHING PADS FROM 3M. AFTER THAT BE VERY CAREFUL BUFFING AROUND EDGES & BODYLINES; SO THAT YOU DON'T BURN THRU THE PAINT!!!!!!! TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING USE SOME 3M MASKING TAPE AROUND ALL OF THESE AREAS. ALSO MAKE SURE U TAKE THE CAR THAT NEEDS BUFFING TO THE PAINT STORE WITH YOU & ASK THEM WHAT THEY WOULD RECOMMEND FOR STRENTH OF COMPOUND TO USE WEITHER IT BE FROM LIGHT TO HARD GRIT. LAST BUT NOT LEAST IF YOU DO THE JOB YOUR SELF MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO ALL THE WORK OUT OF THE DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND PLAN ON AN ALL DAY JOB OR 2. ( I RESTORE OLD CARS FOR A HOBBY) HOPE THIS HELPS

Get the Mr. Clean Auto Dry car wash tool. They filter all the minerals and such out of the water when you wash the soap off.

They're at Autozone for $20. They work like a charm.

Mix vinegar with windshield washer fluid, 50/50 mixture. Spray when hood is cool. Let soak for a few seconds then wipe off. Works great on boats, should work on cars, too.

That is probably not only water spots but acid rain.
If they don't come out with a wash and chamois dry you may need to have the paint buffed.

This will require a buff job. Get a buffer and a good polisher and get to work. And for future reference, don't leave your car parked near sprinklers or you get to do it all over again. Good luck!
