It is a shame that there are so many homeless people out there and as time goes by it will get worse. Or economy is getting to the point where people have to choose. Some people have to chose between a gallon of milk for there kids and a gallon of gas. Some people have to chose to eat or there medications. And the way the rent is these days it's crazy. And no employer wants to give cost of living raises. And landlords just keep raising rents to the point where people cant even live. I do understand there are allot of hard working people that work hard for what they have. And that is cool
but what about the disabled. Or the mother that did not finish school and her husband of 15 yrs just left her. Or the big company that just downsized and the supervisor that worked at the company for 10 yrs just got laid of cause of it.
And all the commercials to help all the people in other countries? What about helping our own fellow man first before we help everyone else in the world. And those poor Katrina victims that are still struggling after it all.
America you really need to look at your own back yard before you help others. I suggest people volunteer at your local church give that bum on the street your spare change instead of saying get a job. Free cycle the clothes you don’t want or need. Give food to the local pantry place for the less fortunate.
I am proud to be an American because I looked in my own back yard and I have help many even though I am disabled with limited income I always find a way to lend a helping hand

Can You?

You just left out the saying. Charity begins in your own home...To answer your question, yes, I can and will. Take care and thank you...

Good for you!!!! I feel the same way!My husband has not had a cost of living raise in 10 years!
I get so sick of seeing on tv about this person and that person who are doing all this stuff for people in other countries, when we have so many homeless people, and starving children right here at home. I could take you right now to a community in Tenn. where the residents live in lean-to's. The kids think that their parents are rich if they have more than one change of clothes and thier shoes don't have any holes. None of them have electricity, and most do not even have in door plumbing! And this is the wealthiest country in the world!!
We are not rich by any means, but atleast we have a roof over our heads and dinner on the table every night!
My granddad use to say that charity begins in you own back yard.
We make quilts out o clothes that we get at the thrift store, and donate them to the homeless shelters in the winter.

Don't you get it? The US uses 30% of the resources of the world, we drain the world to sustain our lifestyle. In order to do that we must give a little to the rest and 'make believe' we are the good guys, that we are generous "hey look I gave you a loaf of bread" while at the same time we take their hog. If we don't distract them with the loaf of bread they might notice that we are taking the hog and then what will we do?

It took centuries to get the world just were we want it, they believe we are the good guys and we take it all for ourselves, now here you come trying to mess up our well set up disguise...

On a side note Europe uses about 28% of the resources of the world if we add it up between us we use 58% of the world resources but combined we only have 9% of the world population. Do you really want to mess that up?
