You just need to hang out with someone who says one of them, and then you say the other. It worked for Beavis and Butt-head because they said both.

They are both two of my all time favorites. I use them interchangeably depending on my mood, My 7 year old prefers "fartknocker" but, she thinks anything to do with farts or better yet sharts is hilarious.
