The Sun must be really, really loud! I mean, really, a billion bombs going off times 10. Loud.

That first answer you got was kind of dumb. He/She should've known you meant your question strictly hypothetically, but... eh.

Anyway, if sound did travel through vacuums, I don't think things would be too loud at all. There would be sound, yes, for then it would exist because it could travel, though looking at the nature of sound as we see it now, think for a moment.

Take note that sound depends on the vicinity of each atom within the medium it travels. Remembering this and following the trend that the further the atoms in a medium, the slower and less efficiently sound travels, as it would travel in a vacuum, sound would be infintesimally low in volume.

Though if you wish to disregard all of that, I suppose things would be rather loud. lol

Yes the universe would be very loud. We could estimate how load everthing is by put sensors to sense the vibrations, bring it on Earth, and make the vibration sounds on Earth. The sun would probably have a sound of 10000000000 decibels.

very quiet,, sound waves do not travel through a vacuum
ps... light does travel through a vacuum
