The truth lies in the converse. Excellent observation.

Not really.

If anything, it should be the other way around. Mythology and folklore and conceived as things no longer believed as true.

In contrast -- many people in the world, millions over, believe strongly in at least one type of religion or spiritual path.

Mythology and folklore could be a subsect of that, but it seems that they are the same -- except mythology and folklore are in the past tense, somehow. =)

Good question, though.

Why not? They are really the same. My sister laughs at the Greek, Viking, etc. myths I enjoyed reading when I was a boy, but she believes in Hebrew mythology that is no better than the others and worse than most. All have been disproven by Science, although Sis refuses to admit it. Several myths are about a Deluge. The earliest has Utnapishtam of Sumeria. The Hebrew Noah copies it. The Greeks had Deucalion. There is no geological evidence of a world flood, so all of these tales are fantasy of some sort.

No.

Because it's true.

Maybe Mythology & Folklore should be under Religion & Spirituality...after all, many myths are religous in nature. And, all myths have a small basis in truth.

WOW! Is your life a myth or your existence foklore? Look around you partner, what do you see? There is nothing mythological about that or is subject to folklore.

Whether you want to admit to us, in the abyss of your soul you feel the presence of an internal man/woman dwelling in you. If you didn't, you could have never formulated that question. You are just seeking or searching for someone to confirm it for you. Believe God already has the day you emerged from the belly of a woman that once nested in an embryo, that was once a cell, that was introduced to another cell.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!

Yes, this is the best question I've seen in a while.
The bible was written many many many years after the fuzzy facts of Christ.
A lot of it is obscured in metaphores and secret meanings or mythologies.

I guess it depends on the person..if a person doesnt believe in religion or spirituality anyway, then why are they "searching" for it on here in the first place?? hehe.

If believing this is what helps you sleep better at night and makes you feel better about yourself, about the things you do and about life in general, then go ahead. It's your life, you are entitled to believe whatever you want to believe. I do not share your beliefs. But then, that's what helps me in my life.
Be happy.
