been there, done that.

I moved countries and lived with just what I brought over in my rucksack for 3 months. It's not as hard as you'd think.

Easy, even including the things that I need I can do it in under 50:

clothing takes up about 25 items (2 pants, 4 shirts, etc.)
a hat
a belt
a jacket
sunglasses
2 pairs of shoes
a basic shelter / tent / tarp
a pillow
a blanket
a water container
a tooth brush, razor and soap
a cooking pot and pan
a knife
box of matches
a backpack
a map and compass
a water filter / purifier
a GPS unit (as optional luxury item)
do you count a first aid kit as a single item?

UH Yeah! Ok, you said less then 100 so that means I get 99 things because you weren't specific. So 99 things is way more then I need. :)

100 things, sounds like a lot, but when you start naming those things that you can't live with out (e.g. toilet paper, soap, shampoo, razors, tampons...whatever) the list gets long real quick. I'll be realistic, I wouldn't be able to do it, but I would give it my best shot at kicking out some of the extra's that I really do not need.

I don't think it, I know it. Been there ,done that.I was homeless for about 2 years off and on about 18 years ago.I was following my husband{Now my Ex} around the country. He was a migrant/homeless person. You'd be amazed by how little you can survive on.I wouldn't recommend it ,but it sure was a life lesson.

I think I could. 100 things is a lot, and if someone did it right, they could have one thing that could work as two. For example, I could get a couch that turned into a bed.

No problem. I grew up poor. You can get by on a lot less than you think.
