He's one of the rare species that born only a few times in a century.
He opens a new door for music genre and let's face it, the mordern rock community couldn't be where they are without his music.

He IS one of the greatest songwriter although may be in his time the techniques and skills (he can't play guitar that well, yeah i know) ain't that good, there is hardly anyone who could do the same effect to the new age of musics..

He is my god..

Kurt Cobain changed the way music sounded in the early 90's. His sound wasn't like anyone else's at that time at all. Some might say he changed it for the worst and some for the better. But regaurdless he made a huge impact on the music industry. I thought they rocked when they were around. My band back in high school used to play the $hit out of his songs. Regaurdless of what some people say about him Kurt was talented. He wasn't no James Hetfield or anything but as far as "Grunge" music goes he was the bomb.

As a lyricist, he was sub-par. As a guitarist, he was barely competent. As a singer, he was an abonimation. *shrugs* He started the movement, that all real Musicians call "Crap-Rock." It no longer takes talent. Bang a rhythm guitar part and scream about death and doom and you've got a contract. Any no-talent, 2 bit hack can get signed today, on the basis of looks alone. NOT ability or hard work. It ALL sounds the same. And NONE of them (with the VERY rare exception) can actually play. It's a sad state that rock music has fallen into. And it all began with Mr. Curt No-Brain.

Everyone knows who he is. Kids now days growing up who never heard of him the day he died, feel pain, why? They try to be cool. Kurt was a moron, nobody should ever follow in his footsteps, he was a total sleeze.

I didn't find him to be all that great and am not afraid to admit it. I think most people like him because they are afraid to question it or not conform to everyone else's views.
