Most older vehicles are not ready for E-85.
The fuel pump and lines as well as injectors are not made of the correct materials.
Some vehicles starting in 2005 were dual fuel and could handle both.
These vehicles have fuel sensors to tell the computer what it is burning so it can adjust injection times and ignition timing.

Any late-model gasoline powered car can run on a blend of up to ten percent ethanol. You've probably already done it and don't know it. Only Flex Fuel vehicles or those specially designed for E-85 (the closest you'll come to pure ethanol unless you drive a race car) can use it. Your Neon is not one of them. For you nimrods out there, biodiesel is not even close to ethanol.

No. Ethanol requires specially built engines. Some people have switched to ethanol without the converter and burned out their engines. I would not suggest it because ethanol does not have the same coating properties as gasoline, therefore it will cause *for lack of a better term* a buildup of goop in your engine which will eventually cause it to fail. Plus, you don't get as good gas mileage with ethanol. You end up paying the same but you at least have an engine with regular gasoline.

I'm pretty sure biodiesel (what I assume you're talking about) can only be run on diesel cars.
