More than likely it's your "smart switch" that not only turns your wipers and washers on, but also turn signals and high beams. Take it to a qualified repair center or the dealer, as they have to pull the steering wheel to take the switch out.

There is a relay that controls your lights.
If you can "pull" on the handle and hold it (used for flashing high beams) and they light up. There's a problem with the switch.
If they don't light up, it's a fuse, or bad relay.
Does the indicator for high beams on the dash light up. If so then it's your bulbs.

1st check the fuses. Next check the switch, If the switch is good then get a test light and test the connection at the bulb. I doubt it is the headlight if both are not coming on.
If that doesnt solve it, time to trade it in.

If both of them are out at once, check your fuse box. I'll bet it is the fuse. Otherwise, examine the high beam filament in both lights. If they are both burned out at once you have a problem with the circuit and may need a garage to look at it.

If the switch is part of your turn signals, it is probably defective. If they just stopped working you will need to have a new one installed..Approx $150.00.
Good luck
It is called a combination switch.
