Rob your a wonderful person yourself..We all know that certain groups of people think without conscience that their groups are the only one...With that said they will terrorize you to the end of the Earth and then try to justify their actions in there own heads as good and noble....Christ said "They like the sounds of their own prayers" And believe the are "Right" and since that think they are "Right" they say they are the "Righteous"....This is blasphemy and has nothing to do with good, or the Lord...Most will tell you in theory that if you just pop another "O" in God that's good enough by their own standards "Self Righteousness" once again....I'll pray our God releases the World from this madness and deception soon!!!

It is definitely a common problem on this web site. The ones I find the most annoying are the ones who are subtle and vicious. It is easier to be addressed "You idiot!" than to be told that one is "well-intended but simple" by a superior sounding person.

I do not think that much can be done about the general problem. For the most part, the people who are mean may have to be ignored, unfortunately. A few extreme cases can be reported for abuse. However, sometimes I have to acknowledge that a lot of people on Yahoo! Answers have legitimate questions and concerns and are therefore frustrated and use bad language. I try to overlook the obscene language as much as possible if the issue itself looks genuine and important.

I'm trying to ignore them, but when their rants become personal, false attacks on me, it's kind of hard. I mean, how would you react if people were attacking you the way a certain group of CHILDREN are attacking me? Would you ignore them, and continue to allow them to spread their hate, and give decent Democrats a bad name? Or would you answer them, and report them for their hatred and lies?
I don't ignore the Republicans that do this either. They're giving Republicans a bad name as well.
Our political system has become so tainted by hatred and intolerance on BOTH sides, and I think that in some ways, Y!A is an indication of this.
People who are "mean" on this site not only give their own political party a bad name, but Americans as a whole. Citizens of other countries look in on us all the time, through this forum. Do we want to give them the impression that all of us are ignorant bigots who hate everyone who doesn't think the way we do? I think not.

Its sad that we have to feel like this is a question that is worth posting.
Does anyone anywhere ever give mean people credence for anything in the world?

People that don't make sense or that are rude just makes you feel eek. Life is short to be bitter and mad all the time. Just the saying "Attitude The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one thing we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our ATTITUDES."

As a conglomerate sample of the world's literate population, definitely not. however, there are those whose experiences are true and real. they may surely be relied on. Gems of wisdom are often obscured by the loam of cumulative prattling, but never fail to shine on they who care to find.

I'm learning not to and I hope they conduct themselves better in their "real lives". Otherwise there is a real sub culture in this country that loves to hate and be negative and inconsiderate.

For example, your answerer who asked your age because you used the word "mean". What, "mean" is not appropriate in today's lexicon? Bizarre.

What is important in your community might not be important for me. Even bc of age. What might be important for you isn't important to a teenager as myself. And... mean is a very relative term... Id call myself more of a...... wannabe funny :)

I try to ignore them, but sometimes it is difficult. It is my hope that they will soon tire of trying to stir everything up and move on to something else.
