A message for speedster...when my ancestors arrived here English was not their native tongue, it was German. The people living here did not bend over backwards to help them, there were no signs in multiple languages to oblige them, it was simply English. If you move to Spain, France, Germany, or any other country do you honestly think they are going to change their native language to suite you? Definitely not. I think in some places, such as work and school English should be the only language aloud to be spoken other than a language class. I find it offensive otherwise. If I sound prejudice, I am not. If I decided to move to or even just visit another country I will prepare myself by learning their language first.

I think English is a good choice. It's just a shame most of us do not do it correctly. The English language is the hardest to learn because the dictionary for translation doesn't cover all the slang terminology that we use and it varies by area of that isn't enough. Have a really good one:=)

well i think it should be Spanish, honestly! i'm not a Latino but u know why i said that. even president bush said that "it seems that i'll have to learn Spanish too"! where ever u go u see latinos and hear spanish. so, the main language of America should be Spanish.

English! That's the way it was officially settled as, and that's the way it should bloody well stay! Enough with this Spanish invasion...! If they come to our country, illegally, they'd better at least know the language. Don't expect US to bend to YOUR needs, illegal immigrants! Sorry. I digress. My answer? ENGLISH!!!
