My personal conviction is that they go to heaven if they have a personal relationship with Jesus as their Savior. If they don't, they don't go to heaven.

Every live body has soul and spirit.When we sleep at night our souls stays in our body but our spirit is brought up by our God.Then if we wake up our god brings back our spirit into our bodies..The spirit is brought back forever by our God when we died.so mulims will say inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi ro'jiun if they heard someone died.It is meant from our God come back to our God Almighty..The spirit is blown to our mother's womb when the baby is 100 days in the womb.Our God decided our fortune when the spirit was blown but no one know it.So we must try hard to make better our fates.

No they do not.
Souls do not die, they are eternal. They live forever in one of
two places.
The bodies of people die and turn to dust.
