Music unites people. People should feel proud that "their" music is being enjoyed by others.
People don't own a style of music. Music evolves and blends with other styles.

Not at all. Yeah it's a bit unusual at first. But you know, it's called the hip-hop "culture" for a reason. It's been around for a better part of 30 years; it's bound to branch out. And you'll find more often than not, a face that's not necessarily black that identifies with this culture just as deeply as a black person. And these folks have just as much contempt for people who "pretend" as well.

Hmm. Well I dont like/enjoy rap or hip hop music that much at all. I think sometimes it glorifies things that arent glamerous at all.
But then again I am african.
Asian people who like rap/hiphop music, are fine. I dont really care.
People who "act" black are dumbasses because what the hell is acting black? Is acting black acting like me? Or like the next girl with an afro? It just irritates me when people say acting black, they should say acting ghetto.
Pffft, all that bs is behind me.

I think people who criticize whites for acting a certain way and blacks for acting another way is the very definition of closed mindedness. Think about it. They exhibit behavior that is not what YOU expect it to be and YOU have difficulty coping with it.
Grow up. I am black and I wear a suit and tie everyday and speak proper english. Am I not a black man because I'm fly?
don't let the suit fool you.

I think everyone should listen to whatever they like. I surely dont hate anyone who likes any type of music. I am quite sure the hip hop artists could care less about race as long as the records get sold. lol. I hate people who "pretend" to act like anything they are not.

I think that it doesn't really matter what color you are. I think people should be free to listen to any type of music they want. And as for "acting black" i dont think you should classify a persons actions by their color. If i see a black person curse that doesn't mean that if i see a white person curse their acting black. I think that society sets America up to
belive that the way a person acts has to do with their color.

There should be zero question about if it's ok to like it. If it is not ok then you are saying people should only like music made by their own race. As far as people acting like they are black, it is kinda the same thing; should white people hate black people who 'act' white. The statement you made about hating people who 'act' black seems to imply that black people act a certain way, and this is kinda stereotypical and racist.

Wasn't this questions for Black people only?
Anyway, why would Black people hate Asians who listens to Rap and HipHop.? We would be stupid to hate our customers. HipHop and Rap is selling high in the world market, and hating your listeners is stupid.

I think anyone who likes what they like and aren't ashamed of it are being real. People who aren't black and try to "act black" are POSERS who want to be black and don't know what how to be black nor what it means.
Hip Hop/Rap isn't "black music". It's MUSIC! Some of the highest grossing rappers were WHITE, (Beastie Boys, Eminem, Vanilla Ice) just as some of the highest grossing rock musicians are BLACK! (That sexy Lenny Kravitz, Seal, even Jimi Hendrix.) As much as some of us hate to admit it, its true.
There are Spanish rappers, Hindu rappers, African rappers, French rappers, and YES ASIAN rappers that can flow. I don't hate them, I support them. If I don't like their music, I just don't listen to it, just like I do with black American rappers.
