The fact that you feel as though you should talk to your Dad about the issue should indicate to you just how important it is that you do talk to him.
I have four daughters. I didn't really have a problem with them "hanging out" with guys. And I gave them the straight lowdown on what to be careful about and how to handle themselves. As a result everything turned out great.
Just talk to your Dad in a straightforward honest way and ASK him rather than TELL him. Things will work out okay!

Be honest! Just tell him you want to go hang out with some friend that are guys! Dont put it that way but also remember that telling a half truth is the same as lying! And just say that you dont think of them in the dating kind of way they are just friends! Good luck

Well it depends on your age if ur 13 and up he'll probably feel better about lettin u hang out wit boys, but if u younger than that, u should just give up. Now just sit him down and say dad, I need to talk to u. Say I feel that I am old enough and responsible enough for u to start lettin me hang out with my " guy friends." Tell that he don't have to worry about you and that he knows dat he can trust u.

Well with mah dad, even though he took it really hard, I just said that I think I should start hangin out with guys..
Cuz mah sister does it all the time! And I always thought that it was unfair so I just sorta begged him...
Just try begging or something..

Now say this.. "Dad I want to hang out with my friends, and some of them are guys" And if he says no just ask why not and talk it out with him

Do what Molly Ringwald did in the movie 16 Candles: whenever you go out to a dance, tell your parents that it's "educational" and that "we're being graded on it."

I know what you mean... no dad at my house, just Mom... my brother had to do the opposite thing you're doing.
JUST have a plan. he'll be ok with it if there are lots of others there and lots of adults. make sure there are always lots of people around and remember, you'll always be his lil girl! heehee
