I do believe college is necessary if you dont want to have to bust your *** at a minimum wage paying job. I just dont see how people live on so little money. Also attending college makes me feel like I am going to be important in society when I receive my degree.Education is always good for the brain waves, if you dont use them then they slowly become stagnant.

Good answer, I do too, you can't get a decent career without going to college but the tuition is outrageously high in most colleges. Go in knowing what you want to study so you won't have to change up your major because that will just cost you more money. Good luck to you!

goodness....

sorry, but i'm a filipino... and education here is now a privilege rather than a right. to study here means you would attain a future for your family and yourself. Many children here dreams of attaining one because of this reason... being educated is a gift...

finished a bachelor of science degree in engineering majoring in Electronics and Communications. right now, because of financial difficulties, i have to restrain myself in achieving a Masteral Degree (i lack only 18 units in Information Technology).

thing is, not because you've finished high school, that's enough... NO. you have to prove your worth in this rat-race, dog biting, cat clawing world.... how would one succeed in life if you limit your education? is that successful enough for you? would you hold a corporate job and be qualified to speak?...

supposing there would be no one to pursue a career in law or medicine, how can man defend himself or heal himself? if there were no engineers, where would technology go? if there where no management graduates, would a business succeed?

sad to know that people look at college life as nothing, as a waste of time.... if only they knew that people here in the philippines have been trying hard in obtaining a degree, then perhaps, they'll understand....

i don't think it's important when you can get education through other institutions, Whya if you really want to be a builder? You learn most of that on the job and not at uni!

College is not for everyone. I do believe further education through a technical school is beneficial. If you aren't sure about attending college, why not try the University of Phoenix on-line classes. You could take one class and see if you like it. You could also try adult education through your local vocational school.

It is very important especially nowadays. you can't get a decent job that you can actually live off of without a college degree.
