What u should do first is talk to the pharmacist about the medication and pregnancy. He/she is well equipped with all kinds of knowlege about medications, interactions, and when you should not take them. Your baby should be your first concern. If it's ok to take this when pregnant keep taking it and see if it helps. If not go back to him and tell him what u think the problem is and see if he agrees.

Instead of just thinking he was wrong I think you should get a second opinion before jumping to conslusions. Also, call the pharmacy where you got your prescription filled and ask about taking Depakote while pregnant.

Do not take any more pills till you talk to your pharmacist or doctor.
Bi Polar just sounds bad, my sister is bi polar and she has episodes of rage and she thinks it is normal. Do you do that? Did they diagnose you as Manic Deppressive? that is bi polar. Maybe they didn't diagnose you wrong, it is just hard to except. I know I am a really depressed person myself

I would stop the medication it is not safe for you being pregnant. If you think you have been miss diagnosed talk to another doctor or do some research on bipolar disorder.

You are not obligated to settle for one Doctors opinion. See someone for a second opinion. Tell your Doctor that you want to get a 2nd opinion. He should not be offended. And why are you asking us if the meds you are on are safe? Look up the medication, or ask your Pharmisist about possible side effects on a fetis.

I would go and see another Dr.( self Diagnosis is not a good option). In the Meantime call your Dr. and/or Pharmacist and ask him what he thinks about possible Sideeffects with you being pregnant.

All you can do is go back and tell him... Let him know thAt your pregnant... It could affect your baby, so don't do anything until you talk to your doctor...
