TEXAS.

Because it's more than a state-- it's an attitude.

And I'm from there, too. :)

I traveled to 46 of the lower 48 United States for ten years, and returned home to Colorado three years ago. I'm glad to be back to the mountains, and I never want to leave again. Let me see what I can do about that quarter.

I live in West Virginia and absolutely Love it. There are mountains and trees everywhere. You can swim in all the rivers and lakes. There are regular seasons: Cold in the winter, hot in the summer. You can pull off any sport in this weather. Nothing is excluded, just depending on the season. In the summer it can be humid in lower elevations, but up on the mountains everything is cool all the time. There are cities and plenty of country. You can live anywhere and do pretty much anything depending on what you like. If you like to live the busy life, there are cities for that. If you like to kick back and relax and have privacy, there is plenty of country. The land is beautiful and the people are friendly. That's why West Virginia is my favorite state. (I feel like I just wrote an essay for school. Ha.)

Once a Texan always a Texan.

I am in Washington, DC because I moved into the Armed Forces Retirement Home to make sure that I am taken care of in my final days without burdening my family.

Still a Texan that is only relocated and voting in D.C.

arizona...we have everything except the ocean...low and high deserts, rolling hills, rustic mountains, pine-covered mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, caves, lots of sunshine and to break the monotony of day after day of sunshine, we have afternoon showers in the high country in the summer and snow in the winter and dramatic monsoon storms in the valleys. we have people from all over the world yet we have a backyard BBQ mentality. We have great and getting better sports, arts and family cultures. We also have a wonderful variety of wildlife due to large areas of the state remaining uninhabited (which also offers easy to rugged hiking, mountain hiking and sightseeing. There's something for everyone.
