I am a straight male married and stable (no this isn't a want a threesome crapolla)

My wife and I can't have children - I have toyed with the idea of aproaching a lesbian couple (no one in mind) .
I somtimes want a child before I die (no not dieing that I know of) but selfishly I don't want to raise a child .

So the deal would be here is my sperm you have the kid you raise the kid . Tell the kid who I am and how it all happened from the start I sign a non custody agreement (is that a word?) and you send me a piture and a note once a year and tell the kid he/she can visit if chosen by the kid when he/she is 16 .

Now would that be well recieved or would that be somthing I'd get shot down fo even thinking.
What would be the good/bad points of that and what would I have to be careful of?????

The thought wan't I want nothing to do with it but it was -that is your family - and this is how and why you (the kid) got here. Your wanted loved etc but this is your family and thats that.
I don't want to adopt that isn't the point it just the whole urge to reproduce thing .

There are options for you that would allow you to raise a child of your own. You could have an egg donor. There's surrogate mothers. Etc. There are options out there that don't involve giving up the child. Talk to a doctor about your options. Personally I think it could mess the child up. It could also cause problems with that strange of a family dynamic.

There are tons of children that need to be adopted into good homes. Don't be self centered dude. Think about the children that are here right now. The lesbian couple can adopt if they want children.

WOW ( women on women) is not the way to go for you to have a child who will end up with 2 mums.
the idea seems cool till you find the child goes to school and is given hell when asked where is your dad. with so many kids with a dad and mum and he/she has 2 mums no dad.
Its so cruel for any kid to face and yet i feel it would be better to seek someone closer to the family to do the honours and raise the child you want .

wow im no lesbian but i think that having a kid be raised by anyone and then telling that kid that their real father is around, then having them realize that you didnt want any part of raising them, just occasional pics and visits after 16.....could be pretty emotianally devostating

It sounds like you've been watching Queer As Folk. If you don't want to raise a child, then don't father one. Why would you want to screw up a kid like that? "Yes, your father wanted you, but he didn't want to raise you or have anything to do with you." That sounds like pure machismo "I must father a child to be a man" crap.

This planet needs another person like a drowning man needs a glass of water.
