i think it means that he is confused and unsure with himself and it is easier to say he is unsure about you. he probably believes it because well, that is easier to believe than the truth also.
in other responses they suggest that he is or could start cheating...i am not sure one could conciously make that suggestion with out knowing more...
so maybe he is or maybe he is not.
as easy as it is to say .... don't take it personally. if you want to keep the relationship going consider counsoling. make it understood that he has to go and participate and maybe do some of his own.
everyone goes through times in their life when they are confused and those times pass.
it is not healthy for either of you to be in a marriage if the other is not sure...
take care of yourself and do not let him pass his uncertainties onto you. it is his problem.

UNSURE! how about this one. He can't remember why we got married, he forgets that this started out as a partnership. he thinks he can resign whenever he pleases, he rewrites what you considered a good marriage by stating "we were never happy.
