It was during WWII. I forget which Japanese admiral said this when the subject of an invasion of mainland USA, but what he said was basically... "If we invade the US, there will be a gun behind every rock, every blade of grass." Well, it's a part of our culture, it's a part of who we are. I will most certainly fight for what I consider a part of American culture.
