I've heard that it's a lack of oxygen to the blood vessels that run under the eyes. And I'm not sure of how you would fix them, except for maybe an over the counter under eye bleach cream. There are some products out there for that, just go to any store and take a look.

dark circles under the eyes point out 2 different problems with the human body. The first being sleep.Since the recommended amount of sleep for the average body is 8 hours a day,I would recommend you cutting back on your sleep as too much sleep can wear the body down the same as not enough sleep. The second factor would be the proper amounts of vitamins. This is also a symptom of a lack of vitamin k which most people tend to not think about.Vitamin k can be found in foods such as spinach, turnip greens, mustard greens, collard greens, cabbage and polk salad.Alot of people have this lack but some peoples body react to it different. These green leafy vegetables are much better for you if they are steamed.fully cooking these will only boil out the much needed nutrients for the body and you may also want to combine these vegetables with a good general daily vitamin from a health food store or a nutrition center such as GNC.The vitamins that you buy from the local Wal-Mart or grocery store are better than nothing but they only contain a small trace of the nutrients that your body actually needs.
good luck and i hope this info helps you out

Just before you do go to sleep rub a lil bit of tooth paste where the circles are do this for about a week and they will be gone then do it in the future to prevent them from re- appearing
I don't know why it works but It does.

I've got them too, my understanding is it is genetic. Moisturizers will keep wrinkles at bay, but those shadows are there to stay.

I read that if you put some tea bags (wet cool tea bags) on your eyes they should go away.
i've never tried it... but it may work.
