There's only one rule about writing. If you haven't lived it, you can't write it.

You look like a young kid. Write about what it's like to grow up in your neighborhood. Feel free to exaggerate for comedic or dramatic effect but stick with what you know or it will come across on screen as being not true to life.

It all depends on your taste in movies. I like Academy Award winning and nominated movies so I would suggest Gone With the Wind. I would also suggest The Sound of Music (it's really funny). A couple of other good movies are Hotel Rwanda and Crash. A movie I would stay clear of is Donnie Darko (that movie only seems interesting when one is high or drunk . . . maybe. . . I haven't tried it in either state) That movie SUCKED!!!!

Ever see Slacker. It's kind of an ADD movie. It starts with one character. When that character passes or talks to another character, the movie will follow the second character until he runs into another person and then the movie follows that character and on and on and so forth throughout the movie.
