Gibson is a buffoon and a bigot. There are many people who will not forgive him. If he does 'bounce' back it won't be long before he says something really hateful again because that is an intrinsic part of his character. He doesn't deserve to have any more movie career. There are plenty of decent people who would take over from him. Why not let them. Gibson had his chance and he blew it. He's rich enough in any case so why should he compel himself to annoy decent people any more? Enough is enough. Gibson do us all a favor and just go.

Alcoholism is an excuse. If you've got it get it treated but don't expect others to be your enablers.

No, I don't really think so. Hollywood is a pretty forgiving town and, even if a fair amount of Hollywood-execs and what-not are Jewish, Mel Gibson is still a huge draw and a huge player. There will be others willing to work with him or to finance future projects. And, if not, he's got way more than enough money to finance the stuff himself.

He'll survive. A lot of people are looking at this (as I do) as the ridiculous rants of a drunken soul. It's rare for a celebrity to survive without some sort of scandal. If people were to have their careers die out over every single scandal, there'd be very few people left in Hollywood.

DUI is bad but even our President has had one. People make mistakes.
I think that Mel Gibson will bounce back. This was an unfortunate situation, but I do not believe that his movie career is over. Not as an actor nor as a producer.
He made those bad comments...but that is alcohol. Alcohol make some people lose their common sense and manners.

My father used to say that he does not take ever but only one drink...but then after that one drink he is like other man, and that other man takes more...

Its gunna be hard to convince the big hollywood producers Jews to give him a go but he has plenty of cash so he probably don't need em,, remember he financed The Passion of Christ out of his own pocket, and cleaned up,, anyway if the hollywood Jews dont want him he can always come home to Australia we don't give a rats what he said

I think that it will be rough going for him for a while, but I don't think his career is over. Even with his anti-Semitic remarks(which he shouldn't have said), I don't think he has done anything any worse than many, many other Hollywood-ites, even though Hollywood and the media would have us believe this is the worst thing that a celebrity has ever done.

Are you kidding? How's Teddy Kennedy doing? Roman Polanski received an Academy Award. I could go on for hours. The guy's good looking, talented and smart - and he has smart "handlers." He'll do the rehab bit, say an Act of Contrition and be right back on top. Everybody screws up. He didn't kill or rape anyone.

the only reason everyone is making such a fuss over this is because he is high profile celebrity . . HE IS HUMAN too . . everyone gets drunk and says stuff they don't mean and shouldn't say . . if we condemn him, then everyone is as guilty too for all the crap they do and say and should be held just as accountable . . forgive and forget . . move on, people . . so the guy made an *** out of himself . . if the fans chose to turn their back on him, then every other idiot actor out there needs to have the same treatment

I believe that Mel still has a movie role or two ahead of him. He is a great actor, even though he has chosen to produce lately.

I don't agree with you. After all in Hollywood they have forgiven much worse such as Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, Nick Nolte, Robert Downey Jr.. Hollywood is famous for letting the rich and fabulous slide when it comes to crime. I don't think it will hurt him at all.

As generally wackjob as "Tinsle Town" is???

Hardly.

It makes him every more famous.

Of course, Jews generally run Hollywood, so he will have to do the independent production route from here on and have to battle his way into getting shown in movie houses, but he still has a career.

Believe me, HE DOES!
