This sounds like a dominance issue. you need to get your boy in on some of the things that the monkey doesn't really care for. by allowing him to participate it starts to reinforce that your son is above the monkey in the social order of the house. also don't allow your son to shy away from the monkey. This is a sign of submission and goes against the social order you want to keep in place. Allow your son to correct the monkey sometimes and show a dominance over it. This doesn't mean that the monkey should cringe or run and hide when your son is in the room, but there should be a mutual respect between them and you.

Yes, do yourself a favor and find a suitable home for your monkey. Caging him would be cruel and could possibly make him meaner. I'm sorry it had to come to this and I hope your boy is okay. Your monkey is not going to get any better and he will most likely repeat the attacks on you and your child.
Non-human primates do not make good pets. I hate that you had to find out this way.

Not unless you'd also be willing to give away your "little boy" if he attacked the spider monkey.

You need to call the Animal Control Officer of your area. Also, get your son checked out because monkeys carry viruses that can kill a human. This is why wild animals should not be kept as pets.

you need to get animal control, you shouldn't have a pet spider monkey.

"your little boy" has to go to the hospital as soon as possible, if im not mistaken, he could die at any minute. ;D

NO, I think you should give your son another chance. But if it happens again, off to the orphanage.
