I'm not surprised.

A lot of people are liberal minded and don't even know it. Do you believe everyone should have access to reasonable health care? Do you support preserving the environment for future generations? Do you think that working class people should get tax breaks? Do you think more money should be spent on education?

I would think that most regular folks who join the military would answer affirmatively to questions like these. If so, they would be considered liberals.

Don't be fooled by the conservatives. They know how to key in on emotional issues like abortion, flag burning, same-sex marriage and school prayer. But what they really want are the tax breaks for the rich, the relaxing of environmental regulations for industry, re-writing the bankruptcy code so you can't discharge consumer debts, enacting tort reform so you can't sue big industry for punitive damages when they intentionally build exploding cars to save money, and starting wars so companies like Haliburton can become filthy rich.

It makes perfect sense that most military personnel are liberals.

When people join the Military they don't look at each other as Dem or Rep There Brothers and Sisters depending on each other and looking out for America TOGETHER. Maybe ALL Politicians should be more like that. If politicians cared HALF as much about america as they do there dam Political parties we wouldn't have alot of the mess we have now.

sounds like an liberal opinion poll. They talk to a group of folks in San Fransisco and call it a nationwide opinion. No I can guarantee there is a markedly larger percentage of conservatives than liberals. And this goes all the way up the ranks.

After spending 4 years in the Army my experience tells me that is completely false. I would even be so bold to estimate 9 out of 10 pro-conservative. Its just the nature of the job :)

Then why did Al Gore try to disqualify military ballots in Florida in 2000?

I'd like to see the proof myself. I served 12 years myself, and I knew who was going to take care of me, and they didn't have a "D" after their name.

It's probable. Liberals want to get up and do something proactive, while Conservatives want to sit on their fat asses and count their money.
