I figure if they wanted me to know they would tell me. However I do usually try and stick up for people who aren't present when conversations begin about them. People do not like this and then they not only talk about me behind my back but they feel the need to talk about other people behind my back as well.

This is fine with me because I subscribe to the Scripture Phil 4:8 that says "...whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, Think on these things."

In the long run gossip will not prosper and the truth will be known. A true friend will recognize and accept you even with your faults and will help you overcome them instead of broadcasting them.

oh for a simple answer "no, I don't want or need to know :o)"

i have had a lot of rumors going on about me at one point. and ya know what? i found it better not to know the lies they were saying. i found out about one and it was absolutly absured. so whenever somebody in my family heard a new one, they would ask me if i wanted to hear it, and i would always say no.

Yeah, but I'd rather they be man/woman enough to say it to my face.
