What if our next President legalized abortion, stem-cell research, and said that God will have absolutley no influence on his governing decisions.
Well, would you be a little upset? Be honest.
Now think about it: you support President Bush because he shares your morals and beliefs. He's one of those "Pro-life" guys, and believes that morality should be the ultimate guideline when making decisions for our country. Our country is comprised of hundreds of religions. How do you think that people who aren't Christian feel? Do you think that other religions have valid feelings too?
I was under the impression that the separation of Church and State was still in effect in our country. Apparently, that is not the case anymore. That is precisely why President Bush will go down in history as the worst President our country ever had to endure.
I'm a Christian, by the way-- I just don't see religion's influence in government. Hey, at least we can take comfort in a Democrat President in 2008.

I know Atheism is a religion, dude. I never said that it wasn't.
And for the other dude who said that "separatation of Church and State" allow the President to be religious, I know. However, there is a difference between being religious and incorporating your religious beliefs into the way that you govern millions of people with different religious beliefs. Come on. Think before you write, next time.

Where to start?
First, an atheist will never be elected president of this country. We haven't even elected a minority or a woman yet and you think an atheist can be elected?
"What if our next President legalized abortion". Where have you been, it is legal (unfortunately).
"morality should be the ultimate guideline when making decisions for our country" What do you think should be the guideline? Most people in this country still have morals and we expect our leaders to also.
"Do you think that other religions have valid feelings too?" I defy you to give one legitimate example where any ones religious rights have been persecuted under this administration. Remember, 19 Islamic radicals ran planes into buildings on 9/11.
"separation of church and state was still in effect in our country"?
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Where in this amendment does it say "separation of church and state"? How does the President professing his beliefs establish a religion? You people always seem to forget about the rest of the 1st amendment. You know, the part about prohibiting the free exercise thereof!

A candidate's religious beliefs has little to do with how I view him/her. I look at their positions on issues.

1. Abortion is legalized. Roe V. Wade is more than 30 years old.

2. Stem-cell research is going on. There is only a limitation of federal moneys going to NEW EMBRYONIC stem cells. Private and state moneys can be spent even on that.

3. All your experiences influence your decisions (as + or -). An atheist is just as much influenced by religion or lack thereof and any bible thumper.

4. George Bush believes that the Constitution guides him as much as or more than his faith.

5. I Jewish, and I wouldn't vote for most Jewish candidates because they don't share my view of government.

6. There is no separation of church and state. The only prohibition is the the Feds can't ESTABLISH a single federally approved religion (Try reading the first amendment instead of listening to an unenlighted media).

7. Your vitriol certain doesn't look very Xian to me.

i think of that "No" is right on course. Obama is a criminal and a large liar, and you'd be able to desire to comprehend that in the time of Kenya his father and grand-father have been arrested for attempting to talk out against democracy and persons whom they stated as colonialists. Obama believed their BS and now he desires to convey down the US to be undesirable alongside of Kenya and different such worldwide places, extremely he desires to grant the money to the black African everywhere they're. there became right into a bust of Winston Churchill whilst Obama became into elected, and he bumped off that as a results of fact he did no longer like the united kingdom. If that guy isn't faraway from the Oval workplace he is going to circulate away the US in debt that possibly the rustic can no longer get out of for the subsequent 50 years or extra. Romney is a businessman and that's the form of persons we choose interior the Oval workplace now days. particular Romney will cut back distinctive classes yet people who in basic terms serve some human beings and that they do no longer choose those issues. we choose jobs and a device the place agencies can function and make a income and turn out US made products to paintings, cut back the debt and grant sturdy products. Obama is a risky fool. yet what are you able to assume from a guy or woman who lied and stab the incumbent so he ought to get into the IL state legislature and he had never had a actual interest, in simple terms coaching for awhile at Chicago univ, and after that he became into no longer something yet some variety of organizer and that i think his workplace became into in front of the community slum section liquor save.
