Well Im gonna be honest with you. Its gona be a little bit hard. First DO NOT get a roomate unless you know the person very well. My last roomate tried stealing my identity. ALso start saving now so you can pay deposits to turn everything on and for a apartment. Finally start looking for jobs in the city your moving to like here I live in Austin so I went to www.austin360.com and was able to find my job. I moved here from New Mexico so I am giving you the best advice I can. Anything else just ask.

Set yourself up a budget once you get a job and stick by it. Try to find a job there before you actually move. Figure out how much money you can spend on food, entertainment, gas ect.. Write down when all your bills are due and when you get paid so you will know which bills to pay when. You can also do extra jobs for extra money. Such as, cleaning offices after hours, cutting grass, ect. Try to get to know your neighbors they can always help you out when you need something. In other words be a good neighbor. Save up as much money as you can before you go. Good luck!

You seem pretty young to be out on your own. If you enroll in college you could live in a dorm with other students.
If you don't want to go to college, you could get an entry level job at a major corporation in the area. Then, you could find a roommate to share expenses with.
I wish you all the best!

ALWAYS,ALWAYS ALWAYS ....have a back up plan. Please believe it can save you alot of trouble if you have something to fall back on.....be it money, men or any such thing. If you get a credit card make sure you can afford to pay the money back in that month.I have 1 card.I use it to pay bills and the money that I make at my job to pay bills I put back onto my card to pay off any balance therefore increasing my credit
