Just curious about your opinions. I've read a few articles on the internet trying to get the world to boycott his movies. I personally enjoy his older flics that he starred in and am really not up to speed on his current stuff. So far the only film I can think of that linked Mel to his personal opinions or interpretations was "The Passion of Christ" but if I had found it offensive I would do like I always do, avoid that particular movie not all starring the actor or using that director.

Ellis D...the question is stated, if your microscopic brain isn't sufficiant enough to fully comprehend such a simple question then you don't belong on here. Just because I am not fully aware of his current endeavors does not mean I am completely ignorant to his acting career. Simply put, I have enjoyed his past movies and do not hold his beliefs against him, nor would I hold anyone elses views against them in the work place (which is what the movies are to him). And as far as TX, I would never bash anyone for their beliefs. I respect everyones views even if I do not agree or understand them as long as they do the same for me.

For everyone, being drunk does not excuse anyones behaviour. If it was some Joe in the bar being beligerent to you I am sure you would not be as forgiving.

I think what ever he has to say shouldn't affect his performance as an actor or director. Every body has the right to THINK.

No I don't think people should boycott his movies just because they don't agree with his views. He's a good actor and the movies he played in are good. What ever he does, says, or thinks off the set are his business. If you are upset because you feel his influences others beliefs then don't watch his interviews. As far as forgiving what he said when he was drunk, I agree with Jenny. Some drunk guy walks up to you and starts putting you down for who you are, where you come from, or your heritage are you going to forgive him? From what I have researched, most people use the fact that they are drunk to say what is really on their minds in hopes of being forgiven because they were drunk and didn't realize the horrible things they were saying.

He was drunk, he said bad things, he is very sorry and trying to make amends. What he did wasn't right, but I forgive him. Other drunks have killed people and done a lot worse than being a bigot. I don't even think he meant it, I think he spouted off at the Jewish Cop stuff that he learned getting ready to work on the movie he is now kicked out of about Hitler.

Look he has been kicked in the gut enough.Boycotting his movies isn't gonna make things better and boycotting his movies would be mean .He was drunk everybody makes mistakes ,he apoligized.People need to just leave him alone and move on.I am Christian I know what he said was just plain mean, but he apoligized and he was drunk at the moment when he said that mean remark about Jews, but what else is he supposed to do nail himself to the cross.

I stopped watching them after he changed history with The Patriot so his anti-semitism comes as no surprise especially with the father he has.An outspoken Holocaust denial-merchant like that is bound to have a racist bigot for offspring isn`t he ?
Being drunk is no excuse - alcohol can only release inhibitions that are there. He spoke in his drunken rants exactly what is in his mind.Just because he doesn`t spout off in public with his anti-semitic views doesn`t mean he still doesn`t hold them.

No one should consider his drunk rants to be his view. And then if his movies don't violate your beliefs, what does his personal view matter? And to Panacea if you are referring to Passion as blood libel, the Bible clearly shows that the Jewish Religious leaders turned Christ in and the Jewish people chose Barabbas.

Not really up to speed on his current stuff but you are asking a question about this stuff? I am going to boycott your questions from now on. America, join me in boycotting this girls questions.

You people get me sick!
First you all show your hate for the Jews because you bash them for attacking Lebanon. All they are doing is protecting their homeland.
Then this "actor" trashes them and all of a sudden you're talking about boycotting his films.
I think all you dudes should go get a dictionary and look up the work hypocrite.

Most definitely yes. When his movie was criticized as a blood libel, christians gave him the benefit of the doubt. Now, we know how he really feels. I'm outraged that he exploited my religion for such a sinister purpose.
The man is scum.

His latest movies are reason enough to boycott the anti-semetic "Super Christian"'s future movies...unless he does a Mad Max sequel...
