I haven't yet, it's something I'm struggling with right now. I have come out to two of my closest gal friends, one is a lesbian the other is straight. Both have been really supportive and understanding and even think it's cool, and it is kind of, I mean there is just so much more honesty between us when we hang out...I can be myself around them. Especially when we're in public I love to say things like damn that guy's hot and then she'll give the guy the once over and agree lol. But coming out to my parents and guy friends is...well, a little more difficult. I have a good idea my mom will be very accepting, but her husband (my step father) is very close minded and we already don't get along...so if I do tell my mom soon I will ask her to not tell him until I'm ready to move out. As far as my guy friends....well, I have a good idea of which ones will be ok with it and which won't, and that's how I'll come out...just to the ones I feel comfortable telling. The ones who I know will be against it I will just let them find out on their own. I'm also going to have one of my gal friends there with me when I come out to some of my friends and my mom...it will be slightly comforting to have someone there to give support if/when things don't go as planned. Always plan for the worst, and if you are living at home I suggest you be able to be on your own if you should get kicked out. Never a bad idea to wait until your financially independent.

I met my first lover my last year in college , My family has a big picnic and reunion Labor day weekend every year . I decided since the whole family would be together, that was the time to make my announcement . My lover and I went to the Picnic and I introduced him to my family cousins , aunts , uncles , grandparents , brothers and my parents . When everyone sat down to eat the noise quieted down and I stood up and said Everyone I need to tell you something , I am gay and this is my lover . You could have heard a pin drop , after a few seconds my dad stood up with my mom and my brothers and he said this is my son and I am proud of him . My family circled us and hugs as well as kisses were exchanged . They always supported me in my decision to come out and loved me all the same .

I never really had to... I grew up in the "normal beaver cleaver" family... Dad was a policeman, and a green beret, and mom was a housewife. To this day, they have never discussed what they did in the bedroom together with me, and I have never felt the urge to tell them what I do in the bedroom. Now that we are all older, they are divorced, and mom became ill and had to come and live with me and my hubby...ooops.... But she loves him like one of her own, and he helps out with her like she is his mom, too. AS for dad, he is kinda from the old school, "Don't ask, Don't tell... but I know that he knows. My brother says that he has always known. It usually not as big a deal as a lot of folks make it out to be. So what... no grandkids.... you can always adopt. Good Luck with your decision...

Well when i met my first girlfriend, i was only 16, so i didnt have much freedom, she was 29 at the time, so we didnt get to spend much time together....long story short, she cheated on me and i didnt want to be with her anymore....so she came up to my job to fight me.... (by the way the B*tch was crazy) so after she lost the fight, she called my house, and told my mother everything...of course i denied it for about a month but then i told her the truth and she kicked me out...but we are on good terms now...after all that was about 10 years ago...
