For instance, I know that you simply double-click to highlight the whole word. But how about the whole line?

If you are in Word or similar, just go to the begining of the line and do SHIFT + END keys.

It depends on what program you're using. With Microsoft Word, for instance, if you triple-click it will highlight either the entire line, or the entire paragraph.

But with a regular text document, you can only double-click to highlight a single word; there is no triple click.

You could also check the preferences of whatever program you're using and see if it lets you choose what double and triple clicking does.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit.

Actually to highlight any length of words you can actually hold down Shift+arrow or mouse left click to decide the length of lines you want to highlight. If you want to highlight all, all you need to click is Ctrl+A. Shift+End will highlight from the strat of the blinker to the end of the sentence. Shift+Home will highlight from the blinker to the first of the sentence.
I hope this helps. You can find more shortcuts.by assigning it in the Tools option in word processing programs.
