I just purchased the Netgear for my husband for Father's Day and our computer savy computer science major son kept having problems to get it to sentd a signal...call the service number and found the person helpful to talk/walk him through it.....first it would not connect after the set up...there was an on/off button he forgot to press....ooops!!! Log into your router by entering the address
192.168.1.1
into a browser. Usually the password is:
root / admin
but your manual should tell you. Then there should be lots of options you can configure including the broadcast channel and the WEP key.

Follow the directions provided very carefully. They will give you the basic setup which should allow connection. Later you can set up security.
