You need to go to court and get a restraining order. Taking a self defense class wouldn't hurt, but don't be like Jennifer Lopez in her movie ''Enough" unless it absolutely comes to that point. You might also want to call the Community Info and Referral Hotline @ 602-263-8856 or 1-800-352-3792.(The 800 number is for Arizona residents only.) You can also call the police or go to your local emergency room, because they can help u get into a shelter where you'll be safe. I highly reccommend doing this before anything else if u really believe u r in danger and your ex-boyfriend can hurt you!!Don't take a chance on your life-act now before it's too late and u become a statistic.

Hurt you by hitting you or beating you? That's what I'm getting from this. If that's the case, you need to get a restraining order against him. Your life could be in jeopardy. And yes.....call the cops as soon as you see him anywhere near you. And the next time he threatens you, have him arrested for harassment. But stay as far away from him as possible!! Keep safe!!! This sounds like a very danergous situation. Don't take it lightly.....

Yeah, why NOT call the cops? This guy needs a talk with one.
They'll ask whether you want to file a formal complaint or wait, see if he persists. Don't wait. This sounds like the prelude to disaster. Any guy who brutalizes a girl/woman needs to be removed from society. A bit of jail time might set him in the right direction.

If your state has concealed carry laws, I'd get a .38, take a safety and marksmanship course, then let your ex know that you'll be carrying it with you at all times. Hopefully this fact alone will be enough to keep him from following through, but if, God forbid, it doesn't, you'd be legally justified in defending yourself. I know this sounds kind of drastic, but you said you wanted something other than calling the cops.

Stay away. He will hurt you at first and then the beatings will progress. this is bad. Stay AWAY. Notifiy the Cops and get a restraining order. Don't ever think about the "good times" you had with him. If he assaults you he really doesn't care about you as a person.

Nothing! Some people just like to hurt others . The more you let them know that they hurt you, the better they like it. Just don't have any thing to do with him and get the law involved if you are talking physical abuse.

Please tell an adult who cares for you if you can't call the police. The guy belongs in jail. Is there a shelter home for women in your area? Call them and go there. You don't deserve to be abused, hit, hurt, or harmed in any way. It's very much against the law and the police or sheriff will help you if you call them. Please act.

You must report his abuse to the police. If he hurt you once and has promised to do it again, this must be reported to the police. You should not fight back, believe me. Just make a report so the police have the information they need to protect you.
