I'm a Time Warner tech, actually. It sounds like you have a QAM out for some reason. A QAM is a band of frequency high in the spectrum (600 mHz+) that carries several digital stations, and if something happens to it, you lose a bunch of channels.
There are four basic causes for this. 1) Something in your head end is screwed up, and nobody in your part of the state is getting those channels. 2) Ingress from another source is getting into your system through faulty cable fittings or unshielded cable. 3)There was damage to the hard line (the thick cable running from pole to pole) or line equipment in your area. 4) You have low signal, which gets some channels through marginally well but completely blocks out other QAMs.
Regardless, call your local office and let them know. They'll be able to tell you if this will resolve itself shortly or if a tech needs to come out and repair it for you and possibly your neighbors. Who knows- if you're a resident of Northeast Ohio, it could be me.
