Skin cancer runs in the family so I don't want to lay out or go to a tanning salon. I don't want to look orange or have it all over my dress.

yes they work very well, and yes over time they will rub off on clothes. BUT this easily washes out and if you are worried about your dress dont be, its not that dramatic.

BE AWARE ..that every one colors differently, so get a tan a few weeks before the wedding and go light at 1st..give it a whirl and see if you like the color or if you want to go darker. The color lasts about a week and DONT get the tan the day of or the day before because you will smell of the tanner for two days, even if you shower both days...

subtle moisturizing tint lotion can help you....
and even if you get some bronzer from a drug store.. you can put it on and it wont rub off on your dress... it will also make you sparkle... or you can try Sally Hansen spray on tan
it works pretty well... you just have to make sure to let it dry completely before putting anything on... good luck and congratulations

Try tan towels. My best friend had melanoma from her leg and she uses self tanners. She likes this one.
