He talks like a really deranged old geezer...
"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know."
"I believe what I said yesterday. I don't know what I said, but I know what I think, and, well, I assume it's what I said."
WHAT???

No. I think he should be put in jail, along with his bosses.
I'm an opened-minded guy. I used to think I was semi-conservative. But this administration is just bad for the country. Its a sad, strange, twist of events that put them where they are now. If they are not contained soon, America will never be the same.

Rummy and Cheney were the original "spin doctors" during Gerald Ford's administration. They've been planning this mess for over thirty years.
Everytime they've been appointed to government positions (during Dutch Reagan's regime and Bush daddy, they were there). Each time they've had their oily little mitts in the pot, we've had problems. The president's are just the puppets. These guys are the problem.

He initially refused to testify. before the Senate Arm Services Committee! Talk about stupid!!
It's time for him to go, along with a few of those "perfume Generals", as hack used to call them.
Expect some more charges of murder against the Marines, I guess the report was pretty scathing!

Hey!
There is something your mind may not be able to comprehend called secrets. See, if you know the secret, then the bad guys are going to know the secrets too.
Sometimes when questions are asked that are secret, those questions cannot be answered. I agree with you that perhaps he could say "no comment", but have you ever tried to answer on the spot a question you knew you couldn't answer?
Nuff said,
TX Guy

No, because then he'd mobilize the other residents to declare war on the nurses, then head over to the mall with their canes and walkers, and who knows what havoc they could do after that? You're talking about people with years of crafty wisdom, some of whom are veterans!

He did a great time dismembering Hillary today when she spewed her line of BS. (clap, clap, clap)
If this sentence is too hard for you, perhaps it isn't Rumsfeld's issue.
He is basically saying that you don't always know what you don't know. Period.
Does that help?
