I get no hits on my website..is it because im 14? I been advertizeing any everything else. my site is www.xpsupport.net All it is is just a forum that helps people with there computer problems, and questions. I wish people wouldent judge me on my age but my website.

Problem one: The Website's design has to many and havy grapics which makes it load extreamly slow. Remove some of the images and compress the rest of them!
Problem two: There are so many forums just like your own. You will have to ask yourself: what can my site offer its users that no other site can?
Problem three: Prizes. «Do this and that and win a pony!» -that always draws tons of visitors.
Problem four: Your site has crappy HTML markup. Learn how to create Websites properly before posting them on the Web! Doing this will give your users a faster, better and more accessible Website. And it will increaase your Website's ranking in most major search engines as well.

Search engine optimization is a long a complicated subject, but the bottom line is - do you have any content that is worth people showing up for? Simply having a forum doesn't mean anything. I can create a new forum in about 3 minutes, but if there isn't any content there, there is no reason to visit it. Create some tutorials that explain how to troubleshoot problems, then promote them through directories and tutorial submission sites. Give people a reason to show up. Otherwise it's just an empty shell of a site that isn't worth anyones time.

It's probably because nobody realizes your website exists. Put the link in your profile, try finding search engines that let you register for free. Publicity is the key, not age. From my experience, kids are often more creative with their pages anyway.

There are a number of free resources available to advertise your website and increase traffic. You can advertise on relevant free classifieds ( www.craigslist.org) ,directories (dmoz) and relevant forums. Major search engines like Yahoo, Google , MSN search are a major source of visitors for most websites and you can submit your website to these search engines for free. You can also run contests offering prizes to regular visitors. I have found the following website useful

i will spread on this website. I know a lot of people who would find it helpful. Who cares about your age. You are probably better with computers than people 20 yrs older than you.
