The majority of Republicans on here who are so quick to defend Bush are usually either (A) naive, close-minded teenagers who can't spell and have no opinions except that Bush is great (and probably get that opinion from their parents) or (B) adults who are older versions of the aforementioned teenagers.
Republicanism is a disease. It attacks the weaker humans (who usually have the lowest IQs), and is passed on from generation to generation. Those poor people are too stupid and incapable of deep thinking to fight it off. It ravages their bodies, creating inflated superiority complexes and delusions. It obliterates all emotions and compassion. Then it settles in the brain, taking over completely. The people are now even emptier than they were before, and incapable of speaking words that aren't utter drivel.
You can stop this before it becomes a pandemic. Parents, stop brainwashing your children. Teens, stop listening to your parents and think for yourself for once.

Really?
I am a Republican and a University Professor....
My take on things is question your teachers and professors, most don't know a thing outside of their books.
Let's not forget that Bush's Yale GPA is higher than Kerry's Yale GPA

The same can be said about some of the Bush bashers on here. The fact of the matter is, many people just aren't rational. Democrat, Republican, Independent, doesn't matter. Any and all can succumb to ignorance.
So really, your question is unfair. Take a good look at some of the people who claim to be Democrats like you. Most of them don't even know the difference between "your" as in possessive, and "you're", as in the contracted form of "you are".
Some of them are just as narrow-minded as the most narrow-minded Republican. There are others whose answers usually consist of "Yeah, Bush sucks, neocon", and they seem to think that they're enlightened.
The only thing ignorant about YOUR statement (which you expressed very well, by the way), is how you generalized. I've known some really stupid Republicans, yes, but I've also seen some of the most vapid Democrats you can imagine.
No one is perfect. We're all human. Some are smarter than others. That's just the way it is.
Besides, IQ has nothing to do with political affiliation. I'm a moderate Independent, though I lean towards conservatism, and I have voted Republican. My IQ is usually tested at between 129 and 145. The highest I ever received was a 160, but I think that was a fluke.

The republicans here in Orange County, CA are influential and rich. They are not the ones you see on Yahoo Answers. I choose to be republican, because I value family values and hard work. Yes, we should help those less fortunate than others. I support most of the party's agenda. Granted, Bush has made some mistakes and increased the deficit. Overall, I support Bush's effort. He trusts God and prays. You try being President. I wouldn't want that job. You need to do some more research before attacking the Republican party.
FYI: My friends who are also Republicans are well educated adults with advanced college degrees.

I'm conservative and I'm a nice guy age 24. I have a lot of reasons for being republican. Democrats don't have any reason to be democrats. They just are.
If you count all the forms of taxes, people pay half their money to the government, is that fair? Can you just tell other people what their money should go to?
I don't really like Bush as a whole though, he is too much like a liberal democrat. He's spending way too much money.
I actually work for the government, and I know first hand how inneficient anything government run is. Our place is probably better than most.

this is not a question, and besides that, some could say that the base beliefs of the republican party are what our fore-fathers had in mind when they wrote the declaration of independence and the constitution..
as for what you said about lower iq's.... do you know that most inner cities are democratic, and also have the highest dropout rates in the country? did you also know that the majority of republicans hold college degrees? while the majority of democrats dont hold a high school diploma? do some research. the poor and uneducated of our country are democrats, because liberals believe in change! conservative republicans want to keep things as they are, because thats where they keep there money...
im a democrat myself, and i think before you start spitting stupidity on here you should do some research

Not being or even not agreeing with Republicans is equated by them to being a "liberal" and that word is given a perjorative meaning by them, so anybody who does not agree with them is a bad thing. And they think that just to say that a person who doesn't agree with them is a Bad Person Of Some Kind is an answer, not just a simple dismissal. Which is always their answer, just dismiss the question, the rejoinder, the answer and that's good and plenty. Plus, they like to throw in that not agreeing with them is being a traitor to your country.
A lot of business people are Republicans and they only think about themselves and their business and what is good for their business. And they don't think very clearly about business and government. I just had a discussion with a very, very Republican young man who complained about the "effects of government" on his business, and he stood there stunned and chastened when I pointed out to him that his complaints weren't about the government - his complaints were about capitalism. I could tell that he knew right away that I was right by his look and his demeanor.
So a lot of them blame "liberals" for their business woes and worrying and concerns, and all the while the fault is really just business. They want the government to help them deal with the bad effects of capitalism, just like workers want the government to help them with the bad effects of capitalism.
And then there are the corporations who have by dint of money and its influence seized control of government and move it toward their interests.
These kinds of Republicans are corrupters of democracy and socially responsible government, and their ideology corrupts the morals of the people.
They are robber barons and crypto-facist corporate-statists. And they make bad politicians and bad diplomats. They are ruining the country.
The problem is also that people have what is known as "false consciousness." That is when they identify their interests with the interests of these people - they think they are the same when they are not.
The media at the last two elections had many articles trying to examine why people voted against their own interests, but nobody put the finger on the right thing: they did not vote their interests because they did not identify their own interests correctly.

Funny, I think this is one of the most naive posts I've ever seen. LOL Since when do teens follow their parents beliefs??? Also, the democrats are no more educated than the Republicans. This is a myth liberals tell themselves so THEY can feel superior.
This is naivete: Republicans go around feeling superior when it's really me and my beliefs that are superior. This is a summary of what you just said.

Seriously? You would consider all republicans to be like your kids?
Maybe Reagan wasn't very good after all. I'd like to see a recent public school educated teen bring down the Russian Empire (with words) like Mr. Reagan did.
Maybe we need another president like Mr. Clinton to teach our children that oral sex isn't sex.
Maybe another president who would leave Americans to be held prisoners in Iran for over a year.
I would love to be able to not have to worry about the security of my country, my family and fellow citizens, and just let the terrorists continue to use planes as weapons. Eventually they would start using more of their terrorist tactics in our homeland. so, maybe one day I will just decide that hell, I dont' care about anybody else, let them come and start killing women and children and torturing the men. Why do I care? Isn't that what liberals want for our country? Won't we be in a bind when that happens and nobody will stand up and defend our great country? Go on, teach your children that there is no need to be competitive, no need to defend our country, no need to be proud of your country, no need to secure our borders. Tell them not to worry, the boogie man won't cut off their heads, blow up their busses, fly planes into their buildings, the boogie man would never do that.
anybody that tells teens to not listen to their parents is an irresponsible, DOLT!!!!!

Another brilliant, open-mined NeoCommie. Why is it that those on the left are so preoccupied with what my IQ is? Is it because the only real argument you have is that all conservatives must be stupid? If we were opened minded, intellectuals we would have to be liberals. Pretty weak. Keep running your mouths and we will continue to win elections.
