It is sort of like a staple gun. Mine kind of pinched a bit, but didn't start truly hurting until around half an hour later. Even then, it was just a dull ache that I could ignore quite easily. In fact, it was sort of a badge of pride, because it was how I knew that I'd gotten my ears pierced.

I recently just got my second hole done at the mall. First they putt a cool liquid on your ear. Im not sure what its for probably to numb the ear or sumthing. Then they make a dot with a sharpie and show you where the hole will be and to see if you like it there, once you agree with the place of the hole the pick up the ear gun and put the earring on it. They put the gun up to the dot and pull the trigger, I was afraid that getting my ears pierced again would hurt since I got my ears pierced the first time when I was a baby so I forget what it felt like. When I got them pierced the second time it felt like a strong sharp pinch that only lasts for about a split second. Then afterwards i looks a lil red and feels a little strange and still hurt a little bit, but not much and just put on rubbing alchohol on it daily and your ear should feel normal in like a day or two. I think getting your ears pierced is totally worth it and it looks fabulous when its done! I hope this helps!

Well, from my experience, getting your ears pierced doesn't hurt much. It just stings for the next hour or so. I got mine when I was 7. And they used a gun, I think. Maybe your ears hurt last time because you were young. If you get them pierced again, it may not be as painful now that you're 15.

Yes, they do still use the gun and yes it still hurts. Take some tylanol or other pain killer a half hour before hand.
My 10 year old son got his ear pierced last month and said it didn't hurt much but I went to the same place a week ago and got a third hole piercing and it hurt quite a bit. My ears are still a little sore.
It's not that bad so don't worry about it.

I pierce an average of 20 sets of ears a day.... It feels like a bug bite....stings at first then its over. Come on your 15, no reason to be scared. Maybe watch a few and ask how it feels to boost your confidence.

yea, its called a piercing gun. they put the earring somewhere in it. it makes it so fast, its a lot less painful than sticking a needle in ur ear, taking it out, and then putting the earring baq in. but yea, it hurts a little bit. ur ear gets rele rele hot. but ull be fine. most of the pain is after the piercing. infections and sleeping on it hurt a lot

they use a ear piercing gun to pierce the earring to your ear.
since your ear is cartiledge ( and the bottom part is the softest ) the pain will be only a pinch for a few milliseconds
