how can you not? face it, not many white people can play black music with the same feel and it goes the other way around. same with country folk and classical music. i cant imagine a polka band playing reggea. its all what your exposed to. alot of people never hear some types of music. how can a midwestern white boy identify with gangster rap? how can an old polish person identify with goth? they cant help it. stereotype yes, i have a problem with the racism part. i dont like some music, but that doesnt mean i dont like who did it. people, not music, are racist.

Honestly, I associate certain music with different races... for example - I associate rap music with black people.

Does that make me stereotypical, yes. Racist, no.

Stereotype means a conventional or formulaic conception or image.

Racism means the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races; or discriminatory or abusive behavior toward members of another race.
